How it works

From your bin back to the spool

A local pickup service for 3D print shops, makerspaces and schools in the GTA.

A Spoolback van parked outside a print shop, with a driver in a Spoolback t-shirt holding a green-lidded collection bin
  1. 01

    We drop off labelled bins

You get separate bins for PLA and PETG, so the plastic stays clean enough to recycle.

  2. 02

You fill them as you print

Failed prints, supports, purge and leftover filament all go in. Keep resin and metal inserts out.

  3. 03

We pick up on your schedule

Every 2 weeks, monthly, or when your bin is full. Pick the plan that matches how much you print.

  4. 04

We turn it back into filament

We shred, dry and extrude the scrap into new filament, blending in fresh pellets so it prints reliably.

  5. 05

    You see what you saved

Once a year you get a report of how much plastic you kept out of landfill.
