About
Local, measurable recycling for 3D printing
Spoolback collects failed prints, supports and purge from print shops, makerspaces and schools in the GTA, and turns that scrap back into filament.
Why we started
Busy printers throw out kilos of plastic every month. Much of it is PLA and PETG that could be printed again, but it ends up in the garbage because there's no easy local way to recycle it.
Spoolback is a pickup service built for that gap: we collect on your schedule, keep PLA and PETG separate, and report exactly how much you've kept out of landfill.
Who's behind it
I'm Manzar Ghansar, based in the GTA. I run Spoolback day to day, so when you get in touch, you'll hear back from me. Spoolback was formerly called Filament Loop.
